About:Chinese Consulates in India

I have applied for chinese VISA but they only say that it is on HOLD. What is its meaning?.......

When and where did you submit your Chinese visa application? The application on hold means that the consulate doesn't accept visa application or process application temporarily. Now, the holiday for Chinese spring festival is over, the consulate resumes to work.
