Tourist or Transit Visa

I am a U.S. citizen presently holding a Singapore employment pass and working in Singapore. While I am residing here, do I need a transit visa if I plan to make a flight connection in Shanghai or a tourist visa if I wish to spend a few days in China?

You don't need a transit visa if you plan to make a flight connection in Shanghai. You need a tourist visa if you wich to spend a few days in China. Please apply for tourist visa at Chinese Visa Application Service Cneter in Singapore (Address: 22 Malacca Street, #09-00 Royal Brothers Building, Singapore 048980)
