Can you tell me what passport do you hold now? Malaysia passport? Chinese Passport with Malaysian Permanent Residence Permit?

Business visa is easier to apply, but if you will work in China, you'd better apply for a work visa to enter China, then change the work visa into a residence permit within 30 days after entry, the residence permit is valid for 1 year, you need to renew it annually. If you apply for a business visa, it permits you to stay in China for 180 days at most.

Where do you live in Malaysia? there is China embassy in Kuala Lumpur and China consulate in Kuching, they have different consular districts. Does your employer send you alien employment license and invitation letter of a duly authorized unit?

Im staying in kl, I went to the embassy in kl. If business visa is fine, then I will go for that. I have asked my employer to send me a letter of invitation. Just wondering, the letter is in English is that ok? And do I need the original copy? Cause it would be quite inconvenient to have them to post the letter over here, do the Chinese consulator accept scanned copy? Thanks for the reply by the way.

The letter in english is ok. You need the original copy. China embassy in Kuala Lumpur doesn't accept scanned copy. You need to submit application to Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Kuala Lumpur (Address: 2nd Floor, Plaza OSK, 25 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur).

So, things I actually need to have are Letter of Confirmation from a Chinese company (Original and Photocopy), Visa Application Form of China (Form V2011A) filled up + a passport photo, my original passport + my photocopy passport page. Hence, I am wondering are these items sufficient for application of Business Visa for China?
(PS – I am holding Malaysian Passport)
Thanks

Thanks for the fast reply ppl. One more thing, previously I had a tourist visa, now I have already applied for business visa. I was told that i have to give up my tourist visa. Just wondering will I be able to use this business visa as a tourist visa for holiday? Since my business visa overtook my tourist visa.
FYI my both visa are multiple entries for 2 years

You are able to use this business visa as a tourist visa for holiday. It's true that only one China visa is valid at the same time, once you get a business visa, your previous Chinese tourist visa will expire automatically.
