Entry requirements for hong kong

What is the minimum number of months you need on your passport to enter hong kong as a tourist? I am an Irish passport holder and my passport expires 29 July 2012. I travel to hong kong for 5 days on February 9th. On several sites I have seen that only a month is required?

Yes, a passport with one month validity beyong the stay duration in Hong Kong is accepted, which means that when you leave Hong Kong, your passport still has one month validity.

Your Irish passport expires on 29th July 2012, you travel to Hong Kong for 5 days on 9th February, 2012, it is ok for your trip to Hong Kong by using your passport, please don't worry.
