You need to apply for a tourist visa (L visa) to visit your American boyfriend working in Dalian. It takes 4 working days if you submit all requirements.
The requirements are:
1. Your Filipino passport
2. fill in visa application form V.2011 A on computer, then print it out
3. one passport photo
4. A copy of the round-trip plane ticket
5. invitation letter with a copy of your boyfriend's valid chinese residence visa and passport information page
I know that it is hard for you to book the round-trip flight tickets because you don't know whether the visa officer will issue you a visa with 6 months stay duration, however, it is the rule of China visa, when you apply for visa, you have to submit the A copy of the round-trip plane ticket
If it is the first time for you to go to China, the following documents are also required:
a) original NBI clearance valid for travel abroad
b) original bank certificate of your boyfriend
c) for employed persons, also provide an employment certificate, company ID, SSS ID and contributions, TIN ID and latest ITR
d) for students, provide school ID
e) for businessmen, provide business registration of company, TIN ID and latest ITR
f) Personal appearance is required for those who are 16-21 years old.
The emergency contact information page in the applicant's passport should be filled out and photocopied.
