China visa for visitors in Japan

I am an Aussie passport holder and my partner is a UK passport holder and we will be travelling through japan as tourists and want to pick up a china visa whilst in Japan. Is this possible (as we are not residing in Japan) and do we need to go to a particular consulate?
Thanks

It is possible for Aussie passport holder and UK passport holder to apply a China tourist visa in Japan, you don't need to go to a particular consulate, there are China embassy in Tokyo, China consulate in Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Nagoya, Osaka, Sapporo, Niigata. You can go to one of them.
