Hong kong visa application in South Africa for Cameroonian

Hello,I have a Cameroon passport and live in South Africa.I will like to visit HongKong in March for a Conference as I am a postgrad student here in South Africa.Where do I apply for a Hong Kong visa,as I learnt a while ago that the Chinese Consulate in Pretoria do not issue HongKong visas...I am frustrated about this because i really need to attend this conference.Thanks so much.

Where do you study in South Africa? China embassy in Pretoria and China Consulate in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg have different consular districts.

If you live in the consular districts of the embassy in Pretoria: Pretoria Region, North West Province, Limpopo Province, Mpumalanga Province, the Kingdom of Swaziland, and the embassy doesn't issue Hong Kong visa, you have to send your application directly to Immigration Department of Hong Kong Government. It takes 4 working days for processing.

Hello,thanks for your quick reply.I study in Johannesburg and live here as well.So does it mean the Chinese consulate in Johannesburg can issue me the Hong kong visa,using a Cameroon passport?

Yes, you can go to China Consulate in Johannesburg to apply Hong Kong visa, hope you get Hong kong visa successfully.
