About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Visiting Guangzhou for Chinese new year.

I applied for a tourist visa category 'L' in october 2011 to visit Guangzhou for i had holiday from school. My visa application was returned with reason that i need an invitation letter of duly authorized unit from China. I could not get that cos i don't know anyone in China. I was told here that the officer suspects my intention was to go for the Canton Fair which was Oct.15- 19, 2011; Oct.23- 27, 2011; Oct.31- Nov.4 dates.
Now the fair is over and i am having a week break from school for the Chinese holiday. I would like to apply for a tourist visa and visit for 5 days. Do i still need to submit my application with the invitation letter of duly authorized unit from China? I don't have anyone there and can't get the requested letter from here. I visited China 2010 but did not require to submit this letter.

For China tourist visa application, the invitation letter of duly authorized unit from China is not required, but you need to provide round-trip flight tickets and hotel booking. now, the offer won't suspects that your intention is to go for the Canton Fair, I don't think he/she will ask you to provide the invitation letter of duly authorized unit from China. Good Luck!
