About:China Visa

I'm a Ghanaian resident in South Africa. A friend sent me an invite but i was refuse a visa form.

I was told by the official in the China Embassy in SA that even though I want an L visa, I do not qualify with the kind of letter my friend sent to me with his company registration etc. The lady asked me to get a letter from the Department of Foreign Affairs with the heading "...A LETTER FROM AUTHORISED UNIT". Interestingly though, a colleague in the same company where I work who has a South African Passport got his visa with the same kind of letter had his L visa.

My questions:
1.Does requirements for an L visa differ from country to country?
2.Is true foreign nationals resident in another country require a different letter from nationals of that country for a visit to China?
3.Can you intervene on my behalf since it would cost me too much to go to my country to apply?

Thank you

1. yes, the requirements for an L visa differ from country to country.
2. it is true that foreign nationals resident in another country require a different letter from nationals of that country for a visit to China.

Nobody here can intervene on your behalf, we are all visitors in this website rather than visa official or consular officer.
