am a kenyan and my workmate a swiss national we plan to attend the COTTM in China in May this year  what is the process to apply for the visa, and do you need to see the applicant in person.

To attend the COTTM, both of you need to apply for China business (F) visas in advance. You can submit the following visa requirements to China embassy in Kenya. The officers will then process the visa for you, usually in 4 working days. The requirements include: applicant's passport and one recent passport photo; visa application form V2011A; invitation letter from duly authorized China unit or confirmation letter of invitation; cover latter from your company; bank statement pf recent 3 months; air-tickets and hotel reservation. Your swiss workmate also needs to submit his/her Kenya residence visa and visa application form V2011B.
