Medical for a Z visa

I will be going back to teach in China. The first time I went a couple years ago I was required to have a medical done here in Canada to go along with my Visa application. At that time my boss in China wrote a letter to the consulate asking me not to have one, as they won't recognize it over in China and I had to have another one done once I got there anyways. I can see the pdf file for the physical on many websites, but no info anywhere as to whether or not I actually have to do one here in BC before I leave or apply for the Visa. I'm currently just waiting for the invitation letter in the mail. Cheers and thankyou!

You need to provide a Physical Examination Record for Foreigner with blood test to apply for China work visa, it's true that the medical check done in Canada is not recognized in China, however, it is one required document for China work visa application in China Consulate in Vancouver (British Colombia is under its consular districts). You do it in Canada and obtain a China visa, when you enter China, you have to do it again to obtain the work permit and residence permit. It's the situation of the whole procedure, we can't do nothing.
