About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Will be in port on Princess Cruise Ship, what kind of visa do we need?

Ports to be Visited: Hongkong for two days and overnight on Ship then Shanghai 2 days later for one day only what Visas do we need ?

Australian passport holders can stay in hong kong for at most 90 days without a visa, so you don't need a visa to visit Hong Kong.
As you will visit only one city on mainland China, a single-entry China tourist visa will be OK for you.
