The Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai is now accepting applications for e-passports.

The processing and printing of the e-passports are done in Manila and takes around 8 weeks before the release.

Applicants may still use their current passports until their new e-passports are released to them, upon which cancellation of their old passports will be made.

In this regard, Filipinos are advised to plan ahead and to allot more time for their passport applications.
