Travelling on Trans-Manchurian railway from Moscow to Beijing

I am planning a trip to Russia in March 2012. The trip includes travelling on the Trans-Manchurian railway from Moscow to Beijing. After entering Beijing i fly to Guanzhou in order to fly to Australia. I was wondering whether i need a visa because i'm not staying in China both flights are the same day.

You need a China visa because you enter Beijing by train and then take a flight from Beijing to Guangzhou. It is not regarded as a transit. You have to obtain a China visa in advance.
