Applying for a working permit in Shanghai

Hi, I'm a Philippine passport holder, and I can get a job as a software developer in Shanghai. How must I apply for the visa, for what visa can I best apply, what papers should I ask from the company in Shanghai, and how long does it take before I can get the visa?

Thank you in advance

You should apply for a Chinese Employment Visa (Z visa) to work in Shanghai. The company in Shanghai should give you two documents: Alien Employment License, Official Invitation Letter for Visa Application, it takes a few months to organize all the documents. When you return to the Philippines, the physical examination record is also required for work visa application in the Philippines.

I hear that the Philippines Overseas Employment Administrative (POEA) asks Filipino work abroad to provide the original work contract to apply for Departure Permit. The original work contract and notarized one are also required.
