hi
I am an Indian and I want to ask you that I got married to a chinese girl this month. And we are not staying in her home town so we applied for L on the basis of marriage certificate and her working certificate along with her resident prove in another city.and I got one for 3 months. and the officer told me that as I am an Indian citizen I can get one for just 3 months otherwise I can get 6 months.and another officer told me that next time when I apply I can try for 6 months.they also told me that if my wife has citizenship of this city or have any property in her name I can get one for 6 months or 1 year.I am confused and I want to know the reality that what I can do in this situation and how much duration I can get.
thanks
Ajay

The two officers are both right. Now, you just got married to a Chinese girl this month, the marriage doesn't lasts for a long time and you are an Indian citizen, so the officer only issues you a 3 months L. Next time, you can try to apply for 6 months L because you have stayed for 3 months.

If your wife has the citizenship of this city and have a house in her name, it will be easy for you to get a 6 months or 1 year because your wife's condition will influence your application, however, your wife just works in this city, she is not a citizen of this city.
