About:China Embassy in Thailand

90 day L visa

Hi I am British, my son is also British. We have both previously visited China (in 2008) and have those visas in the passport. We are currently in Thailand. Would we be able to apply for 3 month tourist visa in Bangkok? What documentation would we need...Thanks

Yes, it is possible for you to apply for 3 months single entry tourist visa in Bangkok. Please provide your passport, one paspsort photo, completed visa application form V.2011A and V.2011B, the previous China visa on your passport.

22.12.2011 i just came from Chinese Embassy in Bangkok 1 hour ago and they didnt permit any more than 30days visa. Im from Finland and been living in China now 1 year and came here Thailand to get another 3-6months visa. So these answers here is not true. Dont come to Thailand if you want more than 30 days visa!

So now.. Trip for nothing.. kind of expensive 30days visa...

I posted the original question and went the Chinese Embassy today with the information that Bob gave me.
I was told in no uncertain terms that 30 days was the most they would give me and was the most that embassy ever issues for a tourist visa.
I pleaded for over an hour; providing bank statements, flight tickets and itineraries.

I would please like some verification from "Bob" (who answered this question) as to where he gets his information when answering these questions!?
