It's impossible for you to get a one year. But there are several ways for you to stay here for one year.
If you are able to obtain an invitation letter from duly authorized unit or confirmation letter of invitation , you can apply for an F, which allows you to stay for 6 months and then extend it before it expires.
If you cannot obtain an invitation letter from duly authorized unit or confirmation letter of invitation , you can also apply for a multiple-entry L valid for 12 months. But you need to travel out before each entry expires.
If you only obtain a single-entry or double-entry L, you can also change it to an F before it expires. This usually needs help from an agency and you need to pay for it.
