About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Am i have to buy ticket before applying visa?

i am indonesian student who study in malaysia. me and my uncle are going to visit shanghai for travel purposes maybe next week, we havent decided on what date to go. can i apply the visa 1st?

The embassy doesn't ask for air tickets as visa requirements. You can apply for the visa before purchasing the tickets. But it may change case by sace. There is the possibility the consular officers ask for the air tickets.

i ask this because i apply online, and there is coloumn for air ticket. I understood that no blank allowed for that paper. what should i do?

Apply online? Are you filling the visa application forms V2011A and V2011B? I haven't seen such a column for air ticket, just the "Date of your first entry". If this is what you are confused about, no worry, just put a date around your departure day, not necessarily to be the right specific date.
