Yes, you need to apply for a visa to Shantou. You don't need a visa to Macau for 30 days stay. You can try to apply for 3 days Shantou visa on arrival.

It is not easy for you to get a China visa in Hong Kong because you are just a tourist in Hk. If you have previously travelled to China on a valid visa before and your passport has no cancelled China visas and that you have a confirmed return ticket or a ticket showing exit from China and a confirmed hotel booking voucher, it is still possible for you to get a single entry China visa.

Hello,I want to ask about getting a visa In Hk going to mainland China. In my situation. I've been there for 3 yrs before I went to Philippines last 2011 of May. I lost my passport in Shunde City ,Foshan province, I'm working there in Sheraton. I went back to Philippines just to the new passport, cuz they don't have much time to give me there a new passport because of the validity of my Z type one that time. Now I'm here in Cambodia at the border of Vietnam and working. And I really want to visit my dearest family friends. I don't have resident permit cuz' I'm always back and fort to Vietnam and here. In cambodia they need resident or proof before you get A chinese one right? Is it ok if Any kind of Cambodian Visa? And Someone advice me fly to Hk to get the Chinese one there. BUt yah I agree for what you've said,I Think they will not giving you a chinese if you don't have previous Chinese ones from Philippines. For those requirements you have said. I'm too sad... :(

I don't have my copy of my previous Chinese ones before after I lost my passport there. Accidentally I lost all my important papers in My bag together my passport.
But I do have,
Copy of my old passport
Bank print ICBC receipt and loss deposit certificates when I get my money back
My police report,
affidavit of loss passport and confirmation from the embassy of PRC in foshan.
my hotel living permit
and of course my temporary travel documents for going to back to philippines. So then, what should I do on how to get one without going back to my country.?
thank you
