About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

I live in Kentucky, can I come to the Chicago Consulate to apply for a Chinese tourist Visa ?

I am coming to Chicago and will be there on 12/12/11. Can I submit application there even though I live in KY or do I have to go through the Washington, DC embassy?

You can't come to Chicago Consulate to apply for a Chinese tourist visa because Kentucky is under the consular districts of China embassy in Washington D.C.

Please be advised that sending your visa application or document(s) to the incorrect office may result in complication or delay in processing or even denial of application.
