I have Chinese X visa for one month with single entry . Can anyone please let me know as to how to get it converted into multiple entries with a period of one year

The student visa (X visa) holder should go through the procedures for obtaining the Residence Permit for aliens in local public security bureau within 30 days of entry, to avoid illegal stay. Once you obtain a residence permit, it can be used a multiple entry visa valid for one year.
