thanks for that. we have been to Guilin several times. Longsheng would have snow but it's a bit of a climb for the family. Must be other places in south west that are accessable surely.

There are not any interesting places for short-distance visiting to the southwest of Liuzhou. You may take a train for 3.5 hours to get to Nanning City, and then take a bus for 4 hours to get to the Detian Waterfall. It is located at the boundary of China and Vietnam.
