How to get a tourist visa for China when New Zealander living in Australia

Hi, we're New Zealanders who live in Australia (Cairns). How can we get a tourist visa for China? Who do we send our passport too and how long will it take?
Thanks.

Cairns, Queensland is under the consular districts of Consulate General of China in Brisbane. You need to go to Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Brisbane to apply for China tourist visa. If you come to Brisbane, you can submit application by post, please refer to http://www.visaforchina.org/BNE_EN/applybypost/252437.shtml to read the Instructions for Application by Post. Postal applications need 10 working days for processing, no express or rush service is provided on mails.
