About:Wild Great Wall in Beijing

How to reach the pulley station if I will be coming from Badaling using Beijing NorthRailway Station

I want to travel by train from Beijing North Railway Station to Badaling. I believe that the ticket station is just few minutes away from train station. However, I want to try the pulley climbing the Great Wall. Based on research, railway station and the pulley station is some distance away. 1.) Can anyone tell me, what is the easiest way to get into the pulley station from Beijing North Station? 2.) Let us say I used the pulley climbing the great wall, how long it will take for me to go back down to the great wall main entrance by walking?

Badaling Train Station is about 1.6km from the pulley station. Walk about 30 minutes. If you want to go to the pulley station directly, I suggest you depart from Deshengmen, by Bus 877. If you use the pulley, you will be taken to the North 4 tower. Then you can decide to go back to the pulley station where you are just now or go further to North 8 Tower and then get down to the other entrance of Great Wall. The second choice is suggested. A bit more than 1 hours, I think.
