About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I have a F visa multiple entry with 30 day stay allowed, need to leave and return

I have a F visa multimple entry with 30 day stay allowed. I have to leave China on/before 18th but I need to return for more business meetings. Can I travel to Hong Kong for 24hours and return to China or has the rules changed on this and it is no longer permitted?

Yes, you can travel to Hong Kong for 14 hours and return to China for the new entry and another 30 days stay. in Visa rule, Hong kong and Mainland China apply different exit and enter controls, Hong Kong is regarded as a foreign country, once you go to Hong Kong, it means you exit Mainland China.
