Since you two are not married yet, your GF can apply for a tourist visa. If she wants to work or study in China, a work visa or student visa is needed. About the money you should provide, it should roughly be USD100 per day. She can submit the visa requirements to China embassy or consulate in her country to obtain a visa. Here is a list of tourist visa requirments for your reference: passport valid for at least 6 months and with at least two blank pages; visa application form; one recent passport photo; probably round-trip air tickets, hotel reservation and your invitation letter ( it may differ from embassy to embassy).
