travel from yichang to guilin

Question

I am arriving in Yichang at 1.30 pm (Yangtze river cruise) and would like to travel down to Guilin area before heading back to Shanghai - can anyone advise of the best / quickest / easiest way to travel Thanks

Neither direct trains nor flights are available from Yichang to Guilin. By train, you could make a transfer at Liuzhou or Loudi. If you choose to take flight, you could reach Wuhan first and then to Guilin by flight or you can have a transfer at Shanghai.
