how to get to yangzhou city from shanghai pudong the easiest way....

Hi, I will be arriving in Shanghai by plane on the 7th of Nov, at around 5 pm, Im trying to get to Yangzhou for some meetings, Im not in a major hurry but would like to arrive in the easiest/cheapest way possible. After having done some research on the internet I can only find one train going to Yangzhou, and it leaves just before 11 am in the morning which means im stucked for the night in Shanghai, since I will arrive with a lot of samples/luggage, I would prefer not to drag them with me all over Shanghai, is there any way i can get to Yangzhou quicker?

Oh, sorry to tell you that, you may can not catch the train or bus from Shanghai to Yangzhou after that time. The only way may be hire a cab, but it is very expensive. I suggest you stay one night in Shanghai and then take train or bus to Yangzhou the next day.
