My daughter and myself are visiting my parents in Hong Kong, would I need a Unabridge Birth Certific

I don't think so. You two don't need visas to travel to Hong Kong either if the stay will be less than 30 days as you are South Afraica passport holders. Just make sure both of your passport will be valid for at least 60 days on the entering date to Hong Kong.
