About:Chinese Embassy in Greece

like to renew my Greek passport which expires in july of 2012

Hello,as the title says,I'd like to renew my passport which expires in july of 2012,I am a Greek citizen living and working in Kunming,Yunnan,so I am wondering which office and in what city do I need to travel to,in order to get my passport renewed.If someone could point me to or provide a link/phone number of the appropriate section I need to contact,please do so.Any information would be great.Thank you.

You need to travel to Beijing to renew your Greek passport because Kunming, Yunnan is under the consular juridiction of Greek Embassy in Beijing.

I've been trying to contact the Embassy in Beijing to no avail;the number keeps coming up as not in service at the time.How long before a passport expires,the holder needs to renew it?Mine expires in roughly 8 months from now.

I will keep trying to get in touch with the Embassy,but if my question could be answered here,it would be very welcome.

Hi, as I know, you need to renew your passport if it is valid less than 6 months.
