how long it takes for hong kong visa processing?

I have duly submitted my Hong Kong Visa application to the Chinese Embassy in Ghana and is being five weeks now and i still don't have my visa. I am schedule to to attend a meeting in Hong Kong next week wednesday October 26, 2011. Please what can i do since the Chinese Embassy keep telling me they have not receive my visa application response from the Hong Kong Immigration Department.

You can't do nothing, if the embassy has not received your visa application response from the Hong Kong Immigration Department, it can't issue you a HK visa. You have to wait for the issuance of visa.
