Do I need a letter from China Embasy as an invitation to visit china for tourist visa ?

For tourism, Pakistani are not allowed to apply for individual tourist visa, you have to find a travel agency and join a tour, then apply for a group tourist visa. For family visit, if your immediate family members, such as your parents, spouse or child work/reside in China, you can apply for an individual tourist visa to China
