About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Canadian travelling to Japan then China, can I get a China VISA in Japan?

I am a Canadian currently teaching in Korea. I have an Korean work Visa that expires on November 6th, and am not able to get a Chinese visa here in Korea. New laws in Korea require me to have 6 month on my work visa to be allowed travel to China. I am planning on visiting Tokyo, would it be possible to apply for a Chinese Tourist Visa. I assume the restrictions aren't the same as in Korea?
