About:China Train

When should I buy the tickets? how many time in advance?

We are 4 people and want to take different trains on December, Shanghai-Xian, Xian-Beijing, and Beijing-Shanghai, how to buy a soft sleeper with the 4 together? how many time in advance? or is better to buy the tickets once we arrive to China?

Train tickets are always hard to purchase in China, and the situation is much worse during holidays. Thus, you would better book the tickets online in advance. You can specify your requests of 4 sleepers in the same cabin when submitting bookings online and they will try their best to meet. Besides, it is better to make the online tickets bookings around half a month before departure.
