i am a kenyan i wish to travel to china for holiday what do i need to get a visa and much do i pay

You need to submit the following documents to China embassy in Nairobi, Kenya.
1. your passport
2. completed visa application form V.2011A affixed with one passport photo
3. recent 3 months bank statement
4. the round-trip flight tickets
5. Hotel Reservation.
Single Entry valid for 3 months Kshs.4,000( about 380RMB, approximately equal to the fee of single entry visa charge by the Kenyan Embassy in China to the Chinese nationals )0
