beijing airport - hilton hotel - anything interesting to see/do/eat near there?

Question

We are staying at the Hilton hotel near Beijing Airport Nov. 10 2011, arriving at 4:30, so we only have the evening there. We are wondering if there are any unique foods/restaurants to try, anything interesting to see/do, and if there are any evening tours offered by companies?

Well, I suggest you take the airport express train to Dongzhimen ,then transfer to subway or taxi to the city center. Wangfujing area ia a nice option. You can try the Beijing Roast Duck there.  Then walk to visit the Tian'anmen Square and Forbidden City.  Usually, the travel agent provides day tour.  Since you only have the evening there, I suggest you do it by yourself.
