Travelling through UAE wanting to get a visa for China is this possible?

HI I am a non-UAE resident travelling through the UAE, the opportunity has come up to extend my trip and go to China is it possible to get a visa from the consulat here?

It is hard for you to get a China visa in UAE if you don't have the UAE residence permit. You can try to do it. Once the application is denied, you can go to Hong Kong to get a China visa
