About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

My passport expires 4 month later than when I'll arrive in Hong Kong, would there be any problem?

In 3 weeks and a half I have a flight to Hong Kong. I don't need visa for this, and I have my return flight 2 weeks later. The problem is that my Spanish passport expires the 28-02-2012 (only 4 months later than when I arrive to Hong Kong) As I didn't know it before, today I went to the Spanish embassy in Dublin and I renew my passport, but they say that maybe it won't be ready. So, my question is, in case I don't receive my passport on time, could I get in Hong Kong with my current passport that expires 4 month later than when I'll arrive in Hong Kong? I have my return flight for 2 weeks later.

Thanks.

You can go to Hong Kong with your current passport that expires 4 months later than when you arrive in Hong Kong. The return flight can prove you will leave Hong Kong 2 weeks later. When you exit Hong Kong, your passport is still valid.
