Weather of Hainan in winter

hello, I am planning a trip in January 2012 from 24 Jan to 28 Jan 2012
may I know how is the weather over ih Hainan island and is the Lunar New Year during that period affecting the tourism in Hainan, i know many shops in China will be closed
