Requirements to work permit in China

Hi, I have almost same question as Usman from Pakistan the only difference is I already hold a residence permit base on my marriage with my Chinese wife.

Now I get a job offer. Do I still need to leave China to go back to Europe to apply for work permit? Even I already have a residence permit?

Yes, you still need to leave China to go back to Europe to apply for work visa even though you have a residence permit. Once you hold a work visa to enter China, you have to apply for work permit as soon as possible, then apply for residence permit within 30 days after entry.

Before leaving China, ask your employer to apply for Alien Employement License and Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit. The two documents are required when you apply for work visa in your country.
