About:China Visa Exemption

What visa do I need to present paper in a conference in Hongkong

I am a Vietnamese. I am studying in Postgraduate program in Australia now and I hold Australian student visa. I will come and present my paper in a conference in Hogkong within 4 days. Do I need to apply for a visa? if yes, what kind of visa do I need and what is the process?

Yes, you need a Hong Kong visa to go to HK. And it usually takes 4 weeks to finally get the visa. Since you need to go there within 4 days, please contact the Immigration Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for help: immd.gov.hk|enquiry, (852) 2824 6111 or (852) 2877 7711.
