About:Mutianyu Great Wall

Very helpful Guide. I would like to confirm a little detail about bus to Mutianyu

I've read from other sites that the bus from Dongzhimen directly to Mutianyu Great Wall is bus 936, so is it already changed to bus 867? Does the bus also allow standing passengers or they will depart if the seats are already full. Thanks.

Thanks. So it's better to be early then. So to there is no more bus 936 going to Mutianyu Great wall directly, all are bus 867. Are all bus no 867 go to mutianyu great wall directly or there is some 867 bus with different routes? Im worried that I might not notice the chinese characters at the end of the numbers.

Yes, the bus 936 to Hongluo Temple has been change to 867. It only runs directly to Mutianyu from late March to early November, and there is only two buses each day, at 7am and 8:30am in Dongzhimen. If you miss them, you should take other 867 buses to Huairou and then hire a taxi or other bus to Mutianyu.
