About:Chinese Consulates in India

I want to visit china for 10 days. we hold Indian passport with validity. where and how shall i apply I like to attend Business Fair at Beijing in October, 2011.

I would also like to meet more manufacturers or Distributors in china . What type of Visa should I apply

You should apply for Business Visa to China. You have to provide an invitation letter of a duly authorized unit or confirmation of invitation letter. The manufacture or distributor in China should get the invitation letter for you, they can go to the Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation to get it.

Covering letter from your company or employer addressed to the visa office of China embassy or consulate is also required.

If you can't provide the above 2 documents, you can try to apply for a tourist visa to China, but you can't write your purpose of coming to China for business on the visa application form.
