by Mr.FARHAN134, As I know, Pakistani are not allowed to apply for individual tourist visa to China in Pakistan, they can apply for the individual tourist visa to China for family visit, the relationship certificate and Invitation from the applicant's relatives from China with a Copy of the relative's ID card or passport & residence visa are required. Therefore, the invitation letter from your friend is useless.

For tourist visa application in Dubai, UAE, you can submit the following documents to Chian consulate in Dubai to try your luck:
1. Original passport and Copies of the data pages of your passport;
2. UAE resident visa valid for more than 6 months and its copy;
3. Application Form V.2011A and V.2011B
4. One passport photo
5. A No-objection letter from the applicant's company stating his or her position ,monthly or yearly salary;
6. return flight tickets, demestic flights and hotel booking
