Why do application forms for visa have to by typed, and printed forms not accepted?
I went to the Ottawa with a friend to have our visa same day. Our forms were rejected as well as at least 6 others because we had printed the forms in capital letters, very clearly. We were told to go to a nearby internet cafe where we had to pay for parking, pay for the internet, and the copies, then return to the embassy only to be told now we were too late for same day service. This is very stressful and does not speak well of the embassy in Ottawa. In Toronto and elsewhere, not only are the forms accepted printed, but also accepted when not all in capital letters. Why is Ottawa making it so difficult for people who want to visit China? Are they sending business to this internet cafe? My tour guide from Sinorama in Toronto said she has never heard of this happening before. Please let me know why this is the practice in Ottawa. Also, the two people there were not friendly and quite rude to all of us. I think they enjoyed the power trip they were playing on us. Thank you.Rita Doner
