Indian passport holders can stay in Hong kong for up to 14 days and Macau up to 30 days without visa for tourism.
If you only enter China mainland for one time, a single-entry visa is OK. Hong Kong and Macau are considered as another territory in terms of visa, which means if you leave China mainland for either of these two places, you are considered as leaving China mainland and another visa is needed to enter mainland again.
