About:Chinese Crew, Resident and Journalist Visa

what are the extra requirement needed for J Visa application?

Hi, i understand from the J Visa that if i were to bring in filming equipments, there are extra requirements needed. May i know what are the extra requirement needed as i am not able to find in in the application form stated. Thanks!

Besides the visa application form, valid passport and recent passport photos, applicants for J-1 visa (resident journalist) should provide a visa notification issued by the Information Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry (the media employing the journalist should apply for the visa notification from the Information Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry); applicants for J-2 visa (journalists visiting China for temporary news coverage) should provide a visa notification issued by competent Chinese authorities.
