About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

Please, when do i need to apply for the chinese visa if i want to start studies next March?

i still have less than 6 months to finish my studies in malaysia. Is it right that i need a residence of 6 months at least in malaysia to be able to apply for a student visa to china?

Knowing that the Chinese university will process the application forms for next term later, will i have time to apply for the chinese visa with my present student residence in malaysia? Thank you. victor

Yes, if you will apply for China visa in Malaysia, your Malaysian residence permit should be valid for at least 6 months. Otherwise, you need to apply in your home country instead. BTW, be note that a single entry China visa is valid for 3 months only from issue date. So, make sure do not apply too early. That is to say IF you will enter China next March, you can apply in January or February.

Please, what is better and more secure to apply for a Chinese student visa from Malaysia, where i am currently a student, or from my country Nigeria? Thanks. Victor.
