About:Chinese Embassies in Asia

My Chinese L visa (mulitple entry) duration for stay given is 30 days

I didn't know how the days worked out. If I arrive Shanghai Sep 17 2:20pm and depart Shanghai on Oct 17, 2011 at 10:00am, can this count as 30 days? (Or 31 days?)

It is counted 31 days if you arrive Shanghai on 17th Sep. and depart Shanghia on 17th Oct. 2011. The stay duration is counted from the date of entry.

Sheryl, please don't worry, one day overstay is not serious, the immigration officer won't punish you, maybe he/she just gives you a warning when you exit China on Oct.17.
